The Milky Way in Saggitarius taken at the 2002 19th Annual Mt. Kobau Star Party using the double arm drive, 50mm lens and Agfa 800 for 10 minutes. The lower pic shows a communications tower at the left.

Leonid fireball
Here is a fireball from the Leonid meteor storm of 2001. This was bright enough that it may have been a shadowcaster. I don't know, I was looking up.

Orion
The Orion constellation, taken with a Nikon Coolpix 4300 digital camera. Exposure 47 seconds in a moonlit sky, ISO 400, F2.8. This image is unprocessed except for resizing.

Orion
Orion with the Nikon two weeks later, 1 minute on the double arm drive, three x optical zoom.

Orion
Closeup of the above photo showing the Orion nebula. This camera is able to image stars down to 10th magnitude, pretty amazing for a digital camera with such a small aperture!

Jupiter
I captured a transit of Ganymede with the Nikon. This is without telescope, just the camera on the double arm drive. I continue to be amazed by the performance of this camera.

Ursa Major

Ursa major with Nikon on double arm drive.
